Deb Ames

Deb Ames is an Iowa artist working in oil, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, and pen and ink. Her subject matter includes portraiture, landscape, still life and florals but her favorite is animals. Her art has been featured in numerous publications including Garden Gate magazine and her children’s illustrations have been in Tabor Publishing’s supplement, Sunday Story. The majority of her work is commission based. She currently teaches portraiture at the Des Moines Art Center. Recently she has started doing small paintings and posting them on her blog. Each painting is for sale by auction through Daily Paintworks.
